Some rides at last.

Well, wouldn't you know it, it's always the way, the day after I picked the bike up and did one short cruise around Brisbane, the heavens opened and it rained hard and steadily for the rest of the week. Just miserable riding conditions for a bike I wanted to photograph before getting it filthy.

It wasn't too bad because I had a ton of stuff to write up for other bike tests, but yesterday and last night  it lifted and I got some saddle time in.

If you decide to follow this report, thanks! I'll try and not make you sick of reading 'how much I like this bike' so I'll keep it to a minimum, but man! I like this bike! :-)

It's now showing 600km on the clock and I just flicked open the owner's manual to see if there are any checks I should be doing - apart from the obvious oil and air. In 10 years as a motorcycle writer and tester this is only the second bike that has come with the owner's manual, so it makes a nice change to be a bit independent and not have to pester the dealer for info.

Set up seems pretty good the way H-D delivered it, but I'll have a play with the suspension settings over the next few days - during which I plan to get a lot of the video captures for a You Tube 'epic' recorded.

I've also just added a few new pics to what I hope will be a substantial collection of nice images of the bike, including a few more in front of the Brisbane wheel.  Hopefully I'll come up with some that will make good screen savers. I spend a lot of the time riding around looking for good photo shoot locations too.

Thanks for reading, more ride reports and details on how we're going to dress the bike up with some accessories soon

Dave.
